I remember horseshoes, mowing the lawn and shoveling the snow. I, too, remember the hair. I also remember the time I thought he was yelling at me, when he confessed all he was doing was trying to get me to stand up for myself. He played Devil's advocate to try and teach me to defend what I believed in. I remember the bowling alley (a little). I don't have a lot of sentimental stories like the others, except those that have been told. I just remember every day that I miss him. It doesn't seem like it's been years since I've seen him; it seems like just yesterday. I wish it was.Kristinoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6488922646682448211.post-88509335568306514872010-06-20T10:50:01.260-04:002010-06-20T10:50:01.260-04:00I remember that I always thought I picked a good m...I remember that I always thought I picked a good man for Daddy. I wanted to put him in for father of the year, but felt that people would say he didn't count. Well, he did count and all of my girls benefitted from him! I love and miss him too.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6488922646682448211.post-26161215449048678802010-06-20T09:43:20.027-04:002010-06-20T09:43:20.027-04:00I remember so many things about Daddy. I remember...I remember so many things about Daddy. I remember playing Underdog. Sometimes I think he was the underdog and the bad guy at the same time, which made things very interesting.

I remember laughing. I remember playing board games. If I remember correctly, he showed us girls no mercy when it came to Monopoly. I can't remember the piece he chose all the time. I think I liked being the boot.

As I got older, I remember spreadsheets as he helped me with budgeting.

I remember tough love. And boy was it tough. I remember the bad times when I thought he did not love me anymore but now as an adult dealing with tough love myself, I realize he loved me more than I could have imagined and that is why he did the things he did. And it helped turn me around.

Like Patti, I remember "doing his hair" and if I recall correctly, he like my styles the best. After all, I was the well adjusted middle child.

I love and miss you Daddy. Happy Fathers Day.Deborahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02981970121955473758noreply@blogger.com
