Scrumdiddlyumptious!

Yesterday, while standing at a check out line, I saw a sign which I could not resist.

FIND A GOLDEN TICKET!
Willy Wonka Lives! I bought my Scrumdiddlyumptious Bar in hopes of finding a Golden Ticket and winning, well, who cares?!? I would have the RIGHT to say, "I FOUND A WONKA GOLDEN TICKET!!!".
Who wouldn't want to have those bragging rights?

Ever since I saw Gene Wilder in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory I have wanted to be in the movie. Can you imagine a little girl's delight when she found out that there really was a Wonka Chocolate Company. I started out with Everlasting Gobstoppers and then moved to the chocolate products. For some reason, I moved away from Willy's candy, maybe as the movie faded (years later) from my memory.

When I heard that the movie studios were remaking Roald Dahl's story, I was thrilled. When I saw the movie, I was sad. Although it seemed to have mostly the same content, I was not a into it as with Mr. Wilder. and, in turn, did not seem to want to find the chocolates to lengthen the movie experience.

When the purple bag with a chance to win a golden ticket and unknown prizes mysteriously found its way into my cart, I thought of the late great Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka, the lucky Charlie Bucket, Oompa Loompas and the rest of Roald Dahl's story of a chocolate factory and its characters.

Have you found a Golden Ticket?
Have Fun Searching!

PS...The bag of Scrumdiddlyumptious Bars with their creamy chocolate, toffee, cookie pieces and peanuts were yummy but failed to produce The Golden Ticket and the prize a trip around the world.
