Hearts

My office mate found a craft online to do with the kids for Valentines Day. Kind of like a construction paper chain, this is a chain of hearts. It looked simple and very neat when finished. I remembered one summer (maybe more) that the craze was writing in a string of hearts. I tried it again today and find it difficult to get my hands to make the movements. Is it because I am so much older now and my hands cannot grasp the concept of flourished writing? Is it because I type most everything now that any writing is difficult?

I remember being able to form the hearts in a straight line, around the curves in a 'b' or 'd' or 's' and even in cursive style. I wonder if my old Princess Anne Lane buddies remember sitting on the front steps or on the back porch picnic table creating our beautiful works of art. I wonder if any of it survived the multiple moves from home to home. I know none of mine did...well, maybe. It has been awhile since I have gone through my memory box...I wonder where it is....
